PATTERNS
even though, despite
The first clause ought to lead to one outcome, and the second delivers the opposite. It sharpens the contrast more than plain -는데도, and belongs to formal speech and writing.
Even though we increased the advertising, the response wasn’t strong.
Even though it was raining, they came out to the station to meet me.
Even though the traffic was terrible, everyone arrived on time.
※You can drop 불구하고 and keep just -는데도, which sounds lighter. The two clauses must genuinely clash — if you only need a plain “but”, -지만 will do.

Asking what order to work through the material——Jihoon, new to the team, asks his senior Eunju how to organise the marketing material for a new product. She sets out the order and adds a warning.（지훈＝Jihoon (new hire) ／ 은주＝Eunju (senior colleague)）
What order should I work through the marketing material for the new product?
Start by collecting the response from each store. What people say on the floor comes before the numbers.
I see. To be honest I'm not very good at organising this kind of material yet, so it may take me a while.
Everyone starts there. Wanting to go through it carefully even though you're busy is a good attitude. Pick out what matters first.
Which should I look at first?
The customer service records. Honestly, complaints are the most accurate data we have.
Understood. Should I include the compensation side as well?
Do. If that part is well put together, it helps with the team bonus review too.
