N을/를 잘 못하다
to be not very good at
잘 못하다 means not being very good at something and is often a modest way to describe your ability. 못하다 on its own can mean either being unable to do something or being bad at it. Dropping 잘 does not necessarily mean no ability at all: 요리를 못해요 can also mean “I am a bad cook,” depending on context.
※Spaced, 잘 못하다 means “can’t do it well”; written as one word, 잘못하다 means “to do something wrong” — quite different. Note too that 못하다 is about ability, while 안 하다 is about not wanting to.
