N에 와요
comes to (a place)
Says that someone is moving towards here. 에 marks the destination — where they end up. The polite form of 오다 is 와요 (오 + 아요 contracts to 와요). One of the first particles a beginner uses, and one of the easiest to confuse with 에서.
접속 conjugation
- Place nouns take 에 directly, with no vowel/consonant split: 회사에 와요 / 사무실에 와요
- Forms of 오다: present 와요, past 왔어요, honorific 오세요
- Whether you use 오다 or 가다 depends on where the speaker stands: towards me is 오다, away from me is 가다
