못 Vusage

can't V

Use 못 V when you want to do something but lack the ability or are prevented by circumstances. This short negative form goes before the verb and is common in speech; formal writing more often uses -지 못하다. With noun + 하다 verbs such as 운동하다, place 못 directly before 하다, as in 운동(을) 못 하다.
