The first fact is acknowledged, then an even stronger fact in the same evaluative direction is added, building a two-layer case. Words such as 도 or 또한 often appear in the second clause to reinforce the added point. This pattern is literary and formal, suiting formal writing, presentations, and reports; in everyday conversation, -(으)ㄹ 뿐만 아니라 or -고 is more common.
