V-는 등 N에 재능을 발휘하다

showed talent in…, by doing… and so on

List a few concrete things someone did, then close with the field in which they showed their talent. -는 등 means these are samples rather than the whole list, so two or three are plenty and the reader fills in the rest. You will meet it in profiles, award citations, and CVs.

접속 conjugation

  • -는 등 attaches to a verb stem, and a final ㄹ drops: 찍다 → 찍는 등 ／ 만들다 → 만드는 등
  • Chain earlier verbs with -고 and put -는 등 only on the last one: 글을 쓰고 사진을 찍는 등
  • Mark the field with N에. 재능 can be swapped for 능력, and both pair with 발휘하다

※Do not put an already complete list in front of 등. The word means there are others you have not named, so writing something closed like 「1등과 2등 등」 contradicts itself.
