밖usage

outside

밖 refers to the area beyond the boundary of a house, building, window, or similar space. With particles, 밖에(서) marks a location, while 밖으로 marks a direction. It can follow a noun with a space, as in 집 밖 or 회사 밖, to specify the place whose outside is meant.

※안 refers to the inside of a boundary, while 밖 refers to the outside; do not confuse this with N밖에, which is attached to a noun and followed by a negative expression to mean “only”: 집 밖에 있어요 means “to be outside the house,” while 천 원밖에 없어요 means “to have only 1,000 won”
