어디나usage

everywhere

어디나 means that the same fact applies to every place, without singling out any particular location. It is used mainly with predicates describing states, such as 있다, 많다, and 같다. For an action taking place somewhere, use 어디서나 instead.

접속 conjugation

  • 어디나 + predicate
    • 어디나 사람이 많다
    • 어디나 비슷하다
  • For location, 어디에나 + predicate
    • 어디에나 있다
  • For the place where an action occurs, 어디서나 + predicate
    • 어디서나 볼 수 있다

※어디든지 emphasizes that any place is an acceptable choice and works well with actions such as 가다 and 앉다, while 어디나 describes a state that holds true everywhere: 어디든지 가고 싶은 곳에 가세요 / 요즘은 어디나 물가가 비싸요
