V-는지 모르다

I don't know whether / what …

It wraps a question up into a single chunk and hands it to 모르다. Verbs take -는지, adjectives -(으)ㄴ지, nouns -인지. In practice people say 모르겠다 more often, which softens it to "I'm not quite sure".

접속 conjugation

Verb stems take -는지, and so do 있다 and 없다: 가다 → 가는지 ／ 맞다 → 맞는지 ／ 재미있다 → 재미있는지
Adjectives ending in a vowel or ㄹ take -ㄴ지; consonant endings take -은지: 바쁘다 → 바쁜지 ／ 좋다 → 좋은지
The past is always -았/었는지, and nouns take N인지: 끝났는지 ／ 담당자인지

※Don't confuse it with V-(으)ㄹ 줄 모르다, which is about ability: 쓰는지 몰라요 (I don't know whether it's in use) versus 쓸 줄 몰라요 (I don't know how to use it). Putting a question word in front (누가, 어디, 언제) also makes the uncertainty obvious.
